Dead Can Dance (late 1990/early 1991)
I remember the first time I heard Dead Can Dance, Aion, to be precise. I was at Scott's house in the living room and he put it on. I was almost transfixed, and wanting to know what this great music was. The CD case was on the mantle and I walked over and looked at it. The beginning of a love story!

Intriguing concept, Neds. It will definitely be interesting to see where this leads you (and others).
I can't recall the first time I heard Dead Can Dance, but I do clearly remember the first time they entered my consciousness. In grad school, I was working in this sometimes fun/interesting lab run by a total psycho lady (who was part of why I ended up leaving grad school) and my friend and labmate Bret the Frenchy Goth Boy had a stack of CDs by the computer, and one that caught my attention was a Dead Can Dance CD. 'Fraid I can't tell you which album, but Dead Can Dance always brings up that part of my life, one that rarely springs to life anymore unless I come across Dead Can Dance.
Funny, they always remind me of a certain time in my life, not a great one, I might add, but I still love them to bits!
